Product Description

The pattern throughout Janet’s painting relates to her main story from her father’s country – ntyerrm (Acacia coriacea), a native tree with greyish green leaves and large black seed pods that have a small bright orange aril.  This tree is considered extremely important as a food source and for the usefulness of its timber.  Janet’s work often reflects designs associated with the many stories surrounding this tree.  Janet also paints Mountain Devil Lizard (Thorny Devil) and awelye – women’s ceremonial body paint design for both these stories.
